CCOM Group Celebrates Major Milestones
CCOM Group Inc. has a lot to celebrate this year, as it recognizes anniversaries for two of its subsidiaries. Universal Supply Group, with locations throughout New Jersey, celebrates 80 years of business, and RAL Supply Group, based in New York, is 100 years old this year.
In the summer of 1940, Heinz Hildebrandt and William Voorhis founded Universal Engineering Co. The company started by manufacturing oil burners, and in 1945 built its first official shop at 344 Wagaraw, right across the street from CCOM Group’s headquarters today. RAL Supply Group was founded in 1920 as a plumbing supply house and eventually blended business to support HVAC and Plumbing contractors throughout the Hudson Valley.
USG and RAL Supply have been recognized over the years as industry leaders in plumbing and HVAC distribution. RAL Supply was named “Wholesaler of the Year” by Supply House Times in 1981 and 1991, the only wholesaler to ever receive this honor twice. USG received the Harold V. Goodman award in 2019 and was named Honeywell’s distributor of the year in 2019. USG started working with the commercial controls division in 1978 when Universal Energy Products (UEP) was founded, supporting commercial jobs and fabricating control panels in house in Hawthorne, New Jersey. USG has received the prestigious Honeywell Diamond Distributor award every year for the last six years and more than a dozen times in total.
CCOM Group Inc. acquired Universal Supply Group in 1999 and RAL Supply Group in 2003. CCOM Group includes a third subsidiary, S&A Supply, based in Massachusetts and founded in 1972. CCOM Group and its subsidiaries distribute HVAC, controls, plumbing and electrical supplies throughout New Jersey, New York (Hudson Valley, Westchester and Long Island) and western Massachusetts.

Central Arizona Supply Adds New Location
Central Arizona Supply, headquartered in Mesa, Arizona, has opened its 11th location in Deer Valley, Arizona, which is in north Phoenix. The new location is a plumbing supply and HVAC counter and warehouse.

Plumbing and Fire Inc. Now Allied Plumbing & Fire Supply
As of May 15, Plumbing and Fire Inc. officially started conducting business as Allied Plumbing & Fire Supply.
This change was made for the purpose of promoting faster business development and better relationships. All other information such as the company’s resale number, EIN number and mailing address will remain the same.
