IPEX’s recent strategic investments include three new distributions centers and a new state-of-the-art flagship molding facility in Pineville, North Carolina that is currently under construction.

IPEX USA Delivers
Reliable Performance and Value

A leader in thermoplastic piping systems, the IPEX Group of Companies produces the largest, most recognized and broadest range of thermoplastic piping products—providing stakeholders with the key components needed to successfully complete municipal, industrial, commercial and residential piping system projects.

Construction projects are breaking ground every day in the most challenging environments and chances are high that IPEX brand products and people are on the jobsite. Whether it is water pipe being installed for a municipal system in the dead cold of a Minnesota winter or electrical fittings being installed in an Arizona residential development under the punishing desert sun, IPEX products consistently deliver reliable performance and value.

But the IPEX offering goes far beyond pipes, valves and fittings. The company’s commitment to excellence means IPEX also brings accountability, reliability and integrity to each and every project, backed by strong distribution partnerships and the industry’s most comprehensive and experienced sales and support network. It’s what has made IPEX the responsible choice in North America for more than 70 years.

“It means innovation—going beyond what your customers want or expect and working relentlessly to create new products and ideas to fill unmet needs,” said Alex Mestres, chairman and CEO of the IPEX Group of Companies. “It means keeping your word, even when it’s inconvenient and honoring relationships over transactions even when it costs. And it means building a team with people who believe it, live it and stand by it.”

“It’s all of the dedicated people within our organization,” added Paul Sheppard, IPEX’s national account manager for IMARK. “Everyone at IPEX respects and values our partnerships with the independent distributor and understands the important role the independents play in support of our growth plans. It’s also the breadth of our unparalleled product offering for the municipal, plumbing, industrial, irrigation and electrical markets.”

IPEX Integrated Total Solutions

IPEX companies offer a comprehensive range of thermoplastic materials, products and accessories for a wide spectrum of demanding markets and applications—from systems that convey water, chemicals and gases to conduit that carries power and data cabling in pipe materials such as PVC, CPVC, ABS, PP, PVDF and PE. From solvent cements and cutting tools to electrofusion systems, IPEX piping systems come with an integrated advantage. Installers can be confident that the pipes, fittings, valves and cements are backed by the same company, rather than building a piping system with components from various manufacturers.

IPEX recently acquired the Harrington Corp. (Harco), which further expands IPEX’s North American presence and provides more opportunity for continued growth in the United States. Pictured is the company’s CEO Alex Mestres (middle) and Bill Beard, also from IPEX (far left), with three Harco employees from the Lynchburg, Virginia location.

The recent announcement of a major expansion will impact IPEX’s Asheville, North Carolina; Lawton, Oklahoma; and Fort Pierce, Florida pipe extrusion facilities, adding a total of 28 new production lines using the latest in high-speed extrusion technology, including closed-loop wall monitors, end-of-line pipe bundling automation and gravimetric feeding systems. This increased production capacity will ensure high fill rates and excellent service both in the United States and Canada. “These investments will also add enough capacity to deliver a number of groundbreaking new products we now have in the pipeline and ready to launch,” Mestres said.

The expansion is an important investment for IPEX that complements other strategic investments, including three new distributions centers and a new state-of-the-art flagship molding facility in Pineville, North Carolina that is currently under construction.

IPEX recently acquired the Harrington Corp. (Harco), which further expands IPEX’s North American presence and provides more opportunity for continued growth in the United States. IPEX had a growth spurt in 2019 with the acquisition of Silver-Line Plastics and its four manufacturing plants. “Due to the foresight from our company’s leadership, we’re continuing to grow,” Sheppard said. “Offering an extensive mix of quality products is an essential part of our growth plan, allowing us to cultivate stronger alliances with our distribution partners.”

IPEX’s expanding regional distribution center model will serve IMARK members with quicker delivery times and higher fill rates. “We are working hard to be the industry standard for service,” Sheppard said.

IPEX earned IMARK Platinum status as a supplier in 2020 and 2021. “We’re very honored to have earned that status,” Sheppard said. “Part of our success is that we roll up our sleeves and are not afraid to go out there and earn the business, and the proof of our success is in the numbers.”

IMARK Group membership is very important to IPEX. “A key objective is to enhance our relationship with IMARK members.” Sheppard said. “We aspire to be a favored IMARK vendor and for the membership to recognize IPEX as a customer-focused partner.”
